Nigeria: Daniel's PDP Authentic, Says Court, Voids Obasanjo's Faction

Abeokuta — Reprieve came the way of embattled Governor Olugbenga Daniel of Ogun State Wednesday, as a State high Court sitting in Abeokuta declared his faction; the Joju Fadairo-led executive of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the authentic executive of the party in Ogun State.

The judgment came just as the National Secretary of the Party Dr. Usman Baraje, former Chairman Board of Trustees; Chief Anthony Anenih and the Chief of Staff to President Goodluck Jonathan; Chief Mike Oghiodome met with Governor Daniel in his Sagamu country home, obviously to persuade him against dumping the PDP.
