Nigeria: Military Formations in Adamawa Intensify Search Over Bomb Scare

Yola — Visitors to military formations in Yola, Adamawa State have had to endure thorough search, following reports that a woman was arrested with a bomb around the barracks. The development according to our correspondent, affected business activities at the Mammy market. The state's Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Elhira Altine Daniel, who spoke to Daily Trust yesterday, said a woman was arrested for allegedly carrying bomb in a food cooler. Daniel, who added that the alarm was raised by some youth corps members, however said that after investigations, it was discovered that the substance was neither a bomb nor an explosive.

"The woman was not handed over to us by the military, but I believe she was later set-free," she said.

She assured that security operatives in the state would do their best to secure the state, urging members of the public to report any suspicious movement or character.
