Sudan: President Kiir Declares Three-Day Mourning After Assassination of Minister Milla

Juba — South Sudan's president, Salva Kiir has officially declared a three-day mourning period, following the tragic death of the region's Minister for Cooperative and Rural Development and his bodyguard on Wednesday.

The late Jimmy Lemi Milla was reportedly shot five times by Emmanuel David Luga, a brother-in-law to the minister, who previously served as his driver. The incident, which occurred at about 10:30am was triggered off by "personal grievances" over unpaid salary arrears.
