Nigeria: Osun Forms Truth And Reconciliation Commission

Osogbo — Osun State Government yesterday constituted a Truth and Reconciliation Commission to probe various cases of human rights abuses and public discontent in the state from June 1, 2003, till date.

A statement signed by the Director of Bureau for Communication and Strategy, Office of the Governor, Mr. Semiu Okanlawon said that the inauguration of the 8-member commission was in accordance with Section 2(1) of the Commission of Inquiry Law, Cap 29, Laws of Osun State 2002.
