OIL marketing company Total has introduced a fuel smart card called Tomcard, which is rechargeable, convenient, safe and helps the customer to control all purchases.
Total, which has a 50-year operating experience in Zambia, introduced the electronic card that can also be used at any Total service station country-wide.
Total operates in Lusaka, Isoka ,Chingola ; Ndola , Kapiri, Mposhi, Serenje ; Kafue, Solwezi , Mkushi ,Mazabuka, Mongu, Chililabombwe , Livingstone, and Kaoma. Other districts include Kabwe, Choma, Mansa, Chipata, Kitwe, Kalulushi, Kasama, Mumbwa, Mufulira and Nangoma.
Customers would be able to use the Tomcard at any of the company's service stations.
There are two types of the Tomcard, which are post paid and prepaid. Individuals or organisations could use the cards that are no doubt convenient.
Total, whose market share in Zambia stands at 30 per cent services a profile of corporate clients who include Kansanshi Mines, Konkola Copper Mines, Rolling Thunder, Anvil Mining, Chilanga Cement, Airtel Zambia, MTN Zambia, Ndola Lime, Zambia Electricity Supply Corporation, Mubuyu Farms, Belga Construction, and Embassies to name but a few.
In essence the tomcard is a re-chargeable card, which is convenient, safe and helps the customer to control all his or her purchases of oil products, which total Zambia offers at all its service stations.
As a control card, it can be programmed according to the customer's budget, provides detailed report on consumption, gives geographical zones and gives tank capacity restrictions.
Being a safety card, there is no need to carry huge sums of money. It has a secret pin code only known to the user and if stolen, it is not possible to reuse the card anywhere.
Lastly, as a convenient card, it is easy to carry in a wallet and can be used at any Total service stations.
Using the Tomcard means reduced paper work like writing fuel vouchers.
Ultimately, the Tomcard is an ideal and convenient tool for individuals and companies.
