On October 1, 2010, Nigeria celebrated her 50th anniversary as a nation and in August this year, she will be celebrating 10 years of GSM operations in the country, with current subscriber number of over 80 million, yet the country has no national database of its citizens numbering over 150 million.
Technology has since made things easier for the rest of the world, but Nigeria appears lagging behind in technological development, having missed out in the agrarian revolution in the early 1960s.
