Uganda: Nadduli Assures NRM Converts of Better Earnings

THE NRM vice-chairman for Buganda region, Hajj Abdul Nadduli, has assured new youth converts from opposition parties that they will benefit from the sh130b the Government released for development projects recently.

He said the money, which will benefit 40 districts, had been passed the Luwero-Rwenzori development projects. Nadduli said the interest-free money would be given out mainly to the youth to start income generating activities.

He said this while receiving about 300 youth who had crossed from FDC, DP, and SDP to NRM at a function held at Kagoma Guest House in Kawempe Division.

The youth said they had been misled by their peers to hate the NRM government.

Nadduli amused the new converts when he asked them to produce more children, saying the NRM would cater for them through Universal Primary and Secondary Education and Prosperity For All programme.

He, however, cautioned them against using the loan funds to marry more women, saying it was meant to boost their small projects.
