Eritrea: Parental Encouragement Imperative for Youths to Realize Set Vision

Massawa — A housewife and college student said that the encouragement and support of parents have a decisive role to play in helping youths, especially females to attain higher level and realize their long-term vision of success.

Ms. Baraka Jim'e who is a housewife and 2nd year student in the College of Science and Marine Technology said that she participated in the 22nd round of the National Service Program following the encouragement of her husband and parents, and managed to score results for joining the degree program.

She further explained that strong desire for higher education lies behind her success and stressed the significance of possessing self-confidence in realizing one's vision. Noting the paramount importance of education in copping with technological advancement in the world, Ms. Baraka urged nationals to avail themselves of the available educational opportunities in the country.

She particularly called on parents in remote areas to send their children, especially females to school.
