Nigeria: NLC Delegates Allege Plot to Sponsor Candidates

Abuja — High wire horse-trading is taking place in Abuja, venue of the ongoing 10th Delegates Conference of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), to elect officers into the leadership of the Congress.

Some delegates Thursday alleged there were plots by the Federal Government to sponsor the General Secretary of a Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions, (NASU), Comrade Peter Adeyemi, for the position of Deputy President of the NLC.
