When President Goodluck Jonathan revealed to Nigerians the establishment of more universities in the country, most of them saw the action as a move to give the problems bedeviling the nation's educational system a cosmetic treatment.
The problems militating against Nigerian universities are not the ones to be solved by mere establishment of more universities. It is no longer news that the major problem of the sector is that of funding.
