Nigeria: WHO Assures on Polio Eradication in the Country

Abuja — THE acting World Health Organization (WHO) Country Representative to Nigeria, Dr.David Okello has assured that the world health body is committed to the eradication of polio in Nigeria.

Okello who gave the assurance in Abuja at the weekend when he paid a courtesy visit to the Minister of Health, Prof.C.O.Onyebuchi Chukwu said that his priority in Nigeria will be total eradication of polio though Nigeria has recorded tremendous success in the fight against polio so far. He stressed that WHO would not rest on its oars until polio is eradicated.
