Ghana: Cdd Leads Action Against HIV/Aids Victims Stigmatization

The Center for Democratic Development (CDD-Ghana) in collaboration with the Anti-stigma Advisory Team has launched the HIV/ADIS anti-stigma discrimination Campaign rights of persons living with HIV/AIDS (PLHIV) in Ghana.

The Advisory Team consists of the Ghana ADIS Commission, Police and Prison Services, Attorney General's office, the Judicial Service, National AIDS Control Programme; Network of Person's living with AIDS and the United State Agency For International Development (USAID). It also has influential personalities such as Ms Anna Bossman, Acting Commissioner of CHRAJ, Prof. S. Awuku Amoa, Dr. Angle EL-Adas, Dr. Kwadow Appiagye Atuah, Justice Sophia Adinyira and Nana Oye Lithur, who have all pledged their support to prevent anti-stigma discrimination against PLHIV.
