Tunis — Some 1,960 tourists, 141 French and 1,819 British, arrived, on Sunday morning, to Monastir International Airport on board of 10 flights.
These tourists will stay in Monastir, Sousse, Mahdia and Hammamet.
The representative of the British "Thomas Cook" Travel Agency said in a statement to TAP News Agency, that "the company's flights will be transferred as of next May 1st, to Enfidha airport." Several flights which were scheduled to Monastir International Airport will be redirected to Enfidha Airport, such as those of "Air Line" Company.
A very warm welcome was reserved to tourists upon their arrival to the airport, by its employees who offered them Tunisian pastries and souvenirs, while a band was playing traditional tunes.
