Tunis — Caretaker Prime Minister Béji Caïd Essebsi had, on Saturday, with United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton a telephone conversation which turned on the Tunisian-American relations and prospects for further enhancing them in the various fields.

During this long telephone talk, Mrs. Hillary Clinton reasserted the United States' commitment to support Tunisia at this pivotal transition stage.

The US State Secretary is to pay, mid next week, an official visit in Tunisia, during which she is to meet with some officials from the Interim Government and representatives of civil society.
