Kenya: 16 Somalis Held for Illegal Entry Into the Country

Security personnel in Fafi district have made a major breakthrough in the fight against foreigners trying to enter the country illegally. This is after 16 Somalis were nabbed yesterday night at a block on Kamuthe road with 29 ID cards neatly packed in a tool box.

The Somalis who could only speak Somali language said that they had been picked up at the Ifo refugee camp in Daadab by two people who they said were Kenyans after paying Sh150,000."These people come to our refugee camp and told us to part with the money if we wanted to be taken to Nairobi. Thirteen of us decided to contribute the Sh150,000 that they had demanded," said a woman who only identified herself as Halima.
