Angola: Polio Awareness Campaign Starts

Luanda — Health authorities in Luanda's Ingombota district are since Monday carrying out an awareness campaign with members of the public for their full response to the poliomyelitis vaccination operation for children less than five years of age from March 25-27 around the country.

Ingombota administrator, Suzana Augusto de Melo, said Tuesday in Luanda upgrading seminars will be held in the district for vaccinators that will participate in the campaign.

The campaign in the district will involve 200 people, among coordinators, supervisors, logistics officials, vaccinators and other people grouped in fixed and moving brigades, to vaccinate about 50,000 children.
