Tanzania: Loliondo Death Toll Rises to 78, Says Official

Samunge — Seventy-eight people have died since Rev Ambilikile Masapila started his 'miracle cure' in Samunge Village, Ngorongoro District.Since Rev Ambilikile's medication started gaining fame last month, the number of sick people heading to Samunge Village in search of the wonder herb has been growing daily, with some people plucking their terminally-ill relatives from hospitals and rushing them to Samunge.

Reports confirmed by the acting Ngorongoro executive director, Mr Dominick Lusasi, show that death records include cases that stretch back to March 11, this year.
