Nigeria: Labour Party Protests Exclusion of Party's Logo, Candidate's Name

Lagos — LABOUR Party, LP, yesterday, held a peaceful protest at the Lagos office of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, over the removal of its logo and name of its House of Representatives candidate in the Ikorodu Federal Constituency in the botched National Assembly election.

The protesters who displayed placards with various inscriptions such as 'include Labour Party in INEC ballot paper', 'No to electoral injustice' among others said that apart from the missing of party's logo in the ballot papers, the name of the party's House of Representatives candidate in the Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Hon Adesina Osikoya, was also excluded from the INEC list.
