Efforts to revamp the education sector should go beyond a review of the curricula to ensure that the entire system is fine tuned for the nation and the learners' benefit.
While the changes at the primary school level, as proposed this week, may be plausible, it is clear that the education sector has many other weaknesses that must be dealt with, instead of tackling only certain components of a beleaguered system.
