Senator elect, Dr. Danladi Sankara, who defeated a former governor to represent Jigawa North West district, has dismissed allegations of rigging leveled by his main political opponent, as frivolous and lacking in truth. Sankara who is the immediate past National Vice Chairman of the PDP North-west zone, said in the interview, which began yesterday that his victory over the former governor of Jigawa State, Senator Saminu Turaki, in the just concluded National Assembly poll is a clear demonstration of the yearning by people of his constituency for a change. He spoke on other issues with newsmen in Kano and correspondent Augustine Madu-West was there. Excerpts:
