Nigeria: Former Jamb Registrar Blames Post-Elections Violence On Poverty, Poor Society Education

Former Registrar of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Professor Bello Salim, has attributed the gale of violence that swept across parts of northern Nigeria after the presidential elections as a manifestation of the extreme poverty that currently pervade most part of Nigeria.

Salim who spoke in a telephone interview with Daily Independent, also noted that the incidence, especially as it affected members of the National Youth Service Corps (N YSC) highlighted the need for proper education of the Nigerian society.
