Kenya: Promising Rapper Howee Dead

Kenyan rapper Howard Maina Mureithi a.k.a Howee is dead. The flamboyant rapper, famed for a single he did with American rapper Timberland, passed away on Tuesday last week. The cause of his death is not clear as none of the sources close to the rapper were willing to talk. In a previous interview with Word Is, the rapper had said he bought publishing rights for Young Money Affiliate Canadian rapper Drake's vocals to the single, Hit List. "All I can say about that is, I haven't recorded yet," he was quoted saying. Howee has also worked with Ugandan rapper and also a member of One 8, Navio. Some of his songs are Daddy's lil girl, Na nani and Mama.

Howee leaves behind one child - Jeneva Squier. His requiem mass will be held at St. Paul's University Chapel on Thursday, May 12 at 10am. His body leaves Chiromo Mortuary on Friday May 13 at 7am for the funeral service at Karima Catholic Church in Othaya at 12noon. He will be buried at the family's farm in Gura sub-location.
