Sudan: New Halfa Sugar Factory Ends Its Productive Season With Production of 74,670 Tons

New Halfa Sugar Factory has ended its productive season 2010 - 2011 with the production of 74,670 tons of refined white sugar, with an increase of 17,500 tons more than the productivity in the past yearThe General Manager of New Halfa Sugar Factory; Abdalla Khalid, said that the cultivated areas in the current season is 21,400 feddans (acres), adding that the average productivity was 32,37 tons for the one feddan (acre) of sugar caneHe reviewed the plan for the next year which is represented in cultivating of 21,500 feddans and realizing a productivity of 40 tons of sugar by for the one feddan and conducting rehabilitation and training programsSR/MOBack
