Khartoum — The Minister of Education, Dr. Farah Mustafa, left for Nairobi Thursday to take part in a three-day extra-ordinary Conference of Ministers of Education of the African Union which is due to begin there on May 12.
The conference's major objective is to consider the key policy documents of the Pan African University and to revitalize higher education and research in Africa. The conference will forward these documents to the Summit Conference of the African Presidents and Heads of State, scheduled in next July, prior to launching the university in next September. The African Ministers of Education will also review the regional agreement of Arusha Convention for Recognition of Scientific and Academic Qualification.
