Sierra Leone: NPRC, Kamajor Involvement Costs Kabbah U.S. Visa

Freetown — Reliable sources at the US embassy in Freetown have confirmed to Concord Times that the denial of Sierra Leone's former president, Alhaji Dr. Ahmad Tejan Kabbah's application for a visa to the United States of America was due to his past involvement as adviser to the National Provisional Ruling Council (NPRC), his support to the Kamajor civil defence force and his government's involvement in corruption.

The former president was recently rejected visa by the American embassy in Freetown and the decision to deny an ex-head of state a visa by the US embassy here has shocked the diplomatic community in Freetown.
