Nigeria: Okorocha's Inauguration - Imo Transition Committee Rolls Out 4-Day Programme

Owerri — The Rescue Mission Transition Committee appointed by Imo State governor-elect, Mr. Rochas Okorocha, has rolled out a four-day programme of activities to herald the inauguration of the new administration in the state.

According to a press release by Okorocha's Chief of Staff, Prince Eze Madumere, 26 May has been declared youth volunteer cleaning day of the entire Owerri Municipal as well as a 'thank you' luncheon for some particular groups.

The committee also programmed a "night of worship and praises" at Dan Anyiam Stadium Complex, Owerri, which is expected to end with a flurry of fireworks.

Madumere also disclosed that two events, carnival float along major roads in Owerri municipality, live musical concert with different artistes and celebrities, will take the centre stage on Saturday.

He also directed every autonomous community in the state to bring its cultural dance groups to the Saturday outing.

Prince Madumere further revealed that the inauguration ceremony will hold in Dan Anyiam Stadium Complex on Sunday.

He appealed to Imo people to grace the occasion.
