Namibia: Vocational Schools Get Mixed Reaction From Minister

The Minister of Education Dr Abraham Iyambo, who last week visited Vocational Schools in the north, is happy with the Eenhana Vocational Training Centre in Ohangwena Region that started on May 9 this year with its training system under the new Namibia Training Authority (NTA), but was displeased with the performance of the 32-year-old Valombola Vocational Training Centre at Ongwediva.

Minister Iyambo, accompanied by Namibia Training Authority (NTA) Chief Executive Officer Maria Nangolo-Rukoro and acting manager of Vocational Training Centre Transformation Albertina Heita, and by the Ministry of Education's Liaison Officer Toivo Mvula, visited the Eenhana Vocational Training Centre last Friday.
