Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dimeji Bankole, who yesterday pleaded not guilty to a 16-count charge of fraud proffered against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has been remanded in custody of the anti graft agency.
Bankole is alleged to have breached the Public Procurement Act while awarding contracts in 2008, by inflating contract sums amounting to N894 million.
