Nigeria/Madagascar: Madagascar Will Be As Tough As Ethiopia - Okpala Warns

Former Nigeria international, Silvanus Okpala has warned that Super Eagles next opponent in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifying series, Madagascar could prove to be as tough as Ethiopia when the two teams clash in Antananarivo in September.

"The match will go a long way in determining Nigeria's fate in the qualifiers. It is a must win match. The Super Eagles should not expect a tea party in Madagascar because their opponents have nothing to lose," Okpala said.

He reasoned that being at the bottom of the group, Madagascar could only function as spoilers. "They know they are going to nowhere even if they win. So, they have nothing to lose either if they lose. But they will be playing for pride and patriotism. Eagles must not underrate them."

Okpala said the Eagles still have a chance of qualifying. "They should just concentrate on their remaining matches and not bothered about what Guinea is doing. When Guinea come to Nigeria they will settle scores."
