Africa: "There Are 30 Million Street Children on the Continent"

The director of Social Welfare has disclosed that ILO and Unicef estimate that there are 30 million street children in Africa.

Fanta Bai Ceesay made this remark Thursday at the commemoration of the Day of the African Child which was organised by the Child Protection Alliance (CPA) at the conference hall of SOS Lower and Upper Basic School in Bakoteh. The theme of this year's celebration was "All together for urgent action in favour of street children".
