The Governor Bank of Uganda has condemned the neglect of vocational institutions as the cause of the current rampant poverty and unemployment in Uganda.
Mr Emmanuel Tumusiime-Mutebile, who is credited by both World Bank and International Monetary Fund for his polices that have seen the Ugandan economy grow at 6.3 per cent this financial year, yesterday said government policy of neglecting vocational institutions in favour of universities has created problems of unemployment and poverty.
