Kenya: 'Tank' Predicts Tough Battle in Zimbabwe

Kenya 15s coach Michael "Tank" Otieno will name his squad for the Victoria Cup match against Zimbabwe today at RFUEA. The 22-man team leaves tomorrow for Harare for the assignment. Speaking yesterday, Otieno said as much as they are confident, it will not be easy in Zimbabwe considering the hosts record. "Our match will be very challenging for a number of reasons. For one, Zimbabweans have just won the CAR match against Ugandans and should come into the match with devastating form. We shall play the match in Bulawayo which is the heartland of rugby in Zimbabwe and we anticipate massive home spectators for them," he said. He noted that traveling 400km from Harare to Bulawayo play to their disadvantage as the players are bound to be fatigued. "Zimbabweans have gone a notch higher in the IRB ranking and will not be taking us for granted," expounded Tank. Kenya faces Zimbabwe on Saturday in Bulawayo.
