Nigeria: Ekiti Vows to Prosecute 'Looters of State's Treasury'

Ado — Ekiti State Government yesterday vowed to prosecute those it said mismanaged the state funds running into billions of Naira during the three and half year rule of Engr Segun Oni as governor.

The state Commissioner for Information, Communication, Civic Orientation and Strategy, Mrs. Fola Richie Adewusi, stated this at a Transparency/Accountability forum in Ado Ekiti, the state capital, noting that "the government will not fold its arms and allow a small segment of the people get away with the diversion of public funds into private pockets."
