If you are talking of the period around AD 1966, a lot of young students seated by chance where you may be located, may fail to understand anything you might say. They may be your grandchildren, or if you would like to put it softly, their dads were not yet born in the year in question.
But, that is exactly the era this narrative is calling your attention to. Just be reminded again, that Germany was the country most people in Africa talked about at the time.
