Angola: Lack of Sterilizers in Beauty Shops Increases HIV/Aids Cases

Luanda — The general director of the National Aids Institute, Dulcelina Serrano, stated Thursday, in Luanda, that the lack of sterilizer in beauty shops of the country's capital city can contribute to the increase of HIV/Aids contamination.

In an interview to ANGOP, Dulcelina Serrano stated that many beauty and barber shops work without applying the adequate methods for sterilizing sharp materials, in order to avoid infectious diseases.

According to the general director, lack of instruments and products to disinfect materials are not of the responsibility of workers, but of the owners of the commercial establishments.
