Uganda: Medical Supplies Worth More Than Shs20 Million Go Missing in Lira

Lira — The National Sleeping Sickness Control Programme under the Ministry of Health has lost its valuable equipment and drugs worth more than Shs20 million to suspected thugs in Lira town. The preservation fridge, drugs used in the treatment of sleeping sickness and two jerricans of fuel reportedly went missing on Tuesday night at Lebaron Bar and Lodging.

The stolen items were loaded onto a vehicle belonging to the organisation parked outside the hotel.
