Nigeria: JTF Condemn Extortions of Motorist in Borno

Maiduguri — The Joint Task Force (JTF) code named Operation Restore Order in Borno state has decried alleged extortion of money from motorists by military personnel at various checkpoints saying any of its men found wanting would be sanctioned.

The JTF in a statement signed by Colonel Victor Ebhaleme on behalf of the Task Force, Commander, Major General Jack Okechukwu, also condemned the untold treatment allegedly meted out to members of the public by some security personal whom he described as 'unscrupulous'.
