Nigeria: FAAN Closes Calabar, Maiduguri Airports for Safety Reasons

Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, Mr. Richard Aisuebeogun, has explained that the Margaret Ekpo International Airport Calabar and the Maiduguri Airport in Borno State were shut down for safety reasons.

Aisuebeogun who disclosed this in Lagos, said FAAN was carrying out some repairs on the surface of the runways of the two airports for safety landing of aircraft.
