Nigeria: Ekelga Council Employs Volunteer Health Workers

THE Chairman of Ekeremor Local Government, Bayelsa State, Mr Eddi Julius, has given immediate employment to a volunteer public health worker, Miss Lucky Akiyefa, for her efforts in assisting local communities in Ekeremor in tackling health challenges.

Mr Julius made the offer at an interactive session he had with health workers at the council headquarters in Ekeremor town. In his opening remark, the head of health department, Mr. Okidi Ayakpo, called on health workers to see their postings as a call to duty and use same for the benefit of their local communities.
