Nigeria: Women Ministry Launches Database for Orphans

The Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development has launched a data base for orphans and vulnerable children in the country.

Launching the database yesterday in Abuja, Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development Hajiya Zainab Maina said a National Situation Assessment and Analysis (NSAA) of the Nigerian populace in 2008 estimated that there were about 17.5 million Orphans and Vulnerable children (OVC) in the country.
