Tragedy was yesterday averted at the Benin Domestic Airport as a 10-seater private jet marked 5N BEX with three persons on board overshot the runway at about 10.35 am, forcing the airport to be shut down for four hours.
Unconfirmed reports said the jet was in Benin City to pick Senator Andy Uba. Many passengers cancelled their flights owing to panic generated by the crash.
