Nigeria: Lagos Targets Road Construction, Rehabilitation

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola (SAN), has announced a half-year 2011 budget performance of 57.3 percent, saying the state government would cut overhead cost in order to sustain and grow the tempo of development in the state.

Fashola, who spoke to Government House correspondents shortly after the quarterly budget review meeting at the Lagos House, Alausa, also said government would concentrate on the construction and rehabilitation of inner city roads in the state immediately the rains subside.
