Kenya: Kacc Seeks to Nip Corruption in the Bud At Primary School

The Kenya Anti Corruption Commission has entered into a partnership with the Ministry of Education to develop programmes aimed at curbing a corruption. The programmes, that also involve the input of the Kenya Institute of Education are meant to foster integrity and good character among the youth.

KACC assistant director in charge of preventive services Jane Onsongo said the commission will roll out a pilot programme dubbed 'Adili' clubs in a number of schools, colleges and universities to entrench values among students. She said the KACC is also developing anti-corruption curriculum for early childhood and primary school learners. "At higher levels, the commission continues to sponsor student leaders' conferences to foster integrity among future leaders," she said. Onsongo was speaking in Nakuru during a technical subjects' career fair.
