Gambia: Court Rules in Favour of Ex-Wife

Magistrate Dawda Jallow of the Kanifing Magistrates Court has ordered one Momodou Alpha Jallow to pay the sum of D40,000 to one Salama Jallow of Tallinding, who is said to be his ex-wife.

The defendant was also ordered to vacate the kiosk he occupies as it was legally allocated to the plaintiff. The defendant was standing trial on three claims but the third claim of a plot of land in Jiboro village, Kombo East District of the West Coast Region, was dismissed as it was not supported by evidence.
