Nigeria: Mentally Challenged Man Causes Bomb Scare in Jos NYSC Camp

Jos — A mentally challenged man yesterday caused a stampede at the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) orientation camp at Zang Secondary School in Jos South local government area of Plateau state.

The unidentified man was said to be in possession of a black polythene bag and was moving around the camp which aroused the suspicion of corps members who took to their heels, running to different directions of the camp for fear of explosion. Our correspondents who visited the camp, gathered that some corps members mustered courage and descended on the man. But for the timely intervention of members of the Task Force the man would have been killed by the corps members.
