Nigeria: Bayelsa Begins Demolition of Illegal Structures

Yenagoa — The Bayelsa State government on Tuesday began demolishing of illegal structures erected along drainage lines in the state capital, Yenagoa. The exercise according to the government is to prevent flooding which has already caused havoc in some parts of the country.

Chairman of the Bayelsa State Capital City development Authority (CCDA), Mr. George Fembe said the exercise would be carried out in all parts of Yenagoa and its environ.
