Nigeria: Kogi Robbery - Gov Idris to Pay Mortuary, Hospital Bills for Victims

Lokoja — The Kogi State government has promised to assist the families of those who died in the robbery operation in Lokoja on Tuesday by paying their mortuary bills and hospital bills of the surviving victims.

About 50 persons died on Tuesday when an unidentified bus ran over them after they were forced to lie down on the road by armed robbers at Zaraigi, on the Okene-Lokoja road. Governor Ibrahim Idris made the pledge when he visited the Federal Medical Centre and Kogi State Specialist hospital to condole families of the victims who thronged there, and to see one of the surviving victims, Joshua Chucks, who is receiving treatment.
