Nigeria: Ajayi- Lawmaker's Agenda for Osun Federal Constituency

opinion

Osogbo — One good turn, it is said, deserves another. Apparently in keeping with that age-long adage, the sleepy town of Ada, Boripe Local Government Council, Osun State, was agog recently when Adeyinka Ajayi, a member of the Federal House of Representatives organised a post-April 2011 general elections 'Thank You' parley to show appreciation for the massive support the people of the constituency accorded him during the National Assembly election, which he won on the ticket of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN).

The parley also took him and his associates as well as his relations and friends to the town's Central Mosque to join other Muslims faithful during the Jumat Service held on Friday July 22, 2011, while a thanksgiving service was also organised in his honour at First Baptists Church, Ada, and reception for all at Ada Commercial Grammar School on Saturday July 23, 2011.
