Kenya: Philippa's View From Manda

It is often said that artists need time and space to be creative and with this in mind, former Hollywood actor Robert Redford formed the Sundance Institute in 1981. Philippa Ndisi-Herrmann is a product of the institute and Le Rustique restaurant in Westlands provided the ideal setting for her to showcase her photo collection to her friends, fans and family.

Each piece from the collection, 'A View from Manda', depicted a certain type of emotion: Sadness, joy, laughter, sorrow, hatred, love, frustration and so many more. They were taken during the first ever Sundance East African Theatre Lab on Manda, in Lamu.
