THIS morning, I fly into Mogadishu, Somalia to spend time with the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM).

When I was last in the war-ruined city exactly a year ago this week, the African peacemaking troops from Uganda and tiny Burundi were calmly and methodically dismantling the tenacious grip that the Al-Shabaab had established.
